Walk walk walk walk in the light

We are called children of God.

Romans 8:14 says, "For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God."

Parents are the ones who lead their children and teach them about the world. As God's children, we are being led by the Holy Spirit to walk in the light.

"For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light," says Ephesians 5:8.

What are the deeds of light? These are the deeds of Christ, as described in Ephesians 5: a life of love, a life of sacrifice, free from sexual immorality, impurity, greed, foolish talk, or coarse jokes; not worshipping the things of the world; making no excuses for sin. Those who walk in the light produce only what is good and true. They expose the deeds of evil and do nothing ungodly in secret. No secret sin can stay in a believer's life, as everything will be exposed by the light within us. We must make use of every opportunity, understanding what the Lord wants and acting thoughtfully. We should avoid drinking habits, be filled with the Spirit, sing and make music to the Lord, and give thanks to God for all things.

Dear God, thank you for guiding us in your light. Help us to rid our lives of every darkness. May we walk victoriously in your light and be a pleasing aroma unto you. May we be filled with your Spirit and your light. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
