Have you been in a season of life where you have felt you lost the joy in your life? Were you waiting for a change or a miracle to happen in some area of your life for a very long time? Here is Sarah, who waited more than a lifetime (75 years) to receive her miracle. Genesis 21, verse 6 says, "Sarah said, 'God has brought me joy and laughter; everyone who hears about it will laugh with me.'" Verse 3 says, Abraham named him Isaac. The name Isaac in Hebrew means "He laughs." Verse 8 says, "The child grew, and the day that he was weaned, Abraham gave a great feast." When the waiting was over at Abraham's house, it was simply being joyful in the Lord and laughing and feasting. God literally cared about them smiling. Hey friend, the wilderness may be long and tiring, making you to just living the life without joy and hope. But remember, we serve the God who is the God of Abraham and Sarah. He will never stop working in your life until he brings not just a smile but laughter in your life.

Dear God, thank you for your love, thank you for your faithfulness in the life of our father Abraham. Thank you, Lord, for going to fill us with laughter like you made them laugh. We are surrendering ourselves to your unfailing love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
