Pearls from the Bible 40

There are many prophets and prophetesses in the Holy Bible. Many of the prophecies in the Bible have come true. Still, there are many others yet to come true, like the ones that have already come to pass. One of the greatest prophecies that came to life is the birth of Jesus. And very few prophets were able to see that come true. One such prophetess is the very old Anna. She lived just seven years with her husband. After he died, she fasted, prayed, and worshipped God.All of us find it easy to worship and sing unto God when life is going well, but Anna worshipped, prayed, and fasted when she lost everything. She was alone, but she never let her circumstances swallow her; instead, she chose to walk with the lion of Judah. God Himself came and revealed Himself to this prophetess. The Bible does not show a weak picture of this woman, but a most powerful one. Yes, she was a prophetess who not only prophesied but saw it getting fulfilled. We are still waiting for prophecies about the secret coming and the second coming to be fulfilled. Be it loss, tears, poverty, depression, or anything else, may we choose to live like Anna the prophetess. Let's pray, fast, and worship while we wait, and may God give us grace to see prophecies coming alive before us. Let's praise like Anna when we see it happening before our eyes. Let's not allow anything to sink us in sadness.Dear God, give us strength and courage to pray, worship, fast, and praise You while waiting for Your second coming. Thank You for every prophecy You have written in the Bible. Bless us and fill us with praise and thanksgiving when we see Your prophecies coming alive in our lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
