Pearls from the Bible 30

Mary was told that she had received favor from God to give birth to the Son of God. Mary accepted and asked the question, "How is it possible?" The angel of God answered, "Through the power of the Holy Spirit. Simply put, it is a supernatural thing." He ended by referring to another great woman named Elizabeth, who was childless for a very long time, and said, "For there is nothing that God cannot do" (Luke 1:37). I am surprised that he is giving reference to Elizabeth to answer the question of Mary. This leads to Romans chapter 4, verse 17: "God, who gives life to the dead and calls the things that are not as though they were." Jesus, in Matthew 3:9, says, "I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham." All these incidents about Abraham, Elizabeth, and Mary point out one truth about God: that to all our questions like "How could something happen when it is utterly not possible from our knowledge?" The truth is that God needs nothing to do a miracle for you. He, in Himself, has everything. Seek after God to fulfill every nothingness, emptiness in your life as He is everything.

May in this season, we receive our miracle out of nothingness from God. Dear God, we submit all our questions at your feet. Be our answer to every question, Lord. With your Holy Spirit's power, fill us and conceive every goodness in us, O Lord. We have nothing to boast inside us. Fill us with every good thing from heaven by your power. Thank you, Lord. Let there be no emptiness anywhere in our lives. May we be thoroughly filled by your Spirit. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
