Learn from Jesus.

The Bible says Jesus Christ has been tested in every way like us. He is able to help in our weaknesses. What an amazing thing it is to have a helper who strengthens us in our weaknesses. In Matthew 5, Satan told Jesus to do certain things like turning stones to bread, jumping from a height, and worshiping the devil. And Jesus overcame all by the Word of God. He uttered scriptures that were against such acts. After that, angels came to help Him.

How are we handling the temptations? Have we filled our hearts with God's Word to use it when the time comes to defeat Satan? God wants us to fight against the temptations like how Jesus did. We cannot wait for some angel to help us in escaping the challenges. We have to stand against temptation and fight. And know that help is on the way. Verse 11 says, "Then the Devil left Jesus; and angels came and helped Him."

Let us be aware that the Holy Spirit is living inside us. When Jesus defeated Satan's temptation, He went out and started His ministry. He said, "Turn away from your sins, because the kingdom of heaven is near!" We carry God's kingdom in us when we overcome the sin around us. Let's fill ourselves with His words and resist the devil, and he has to flee before us.

Dear God, help us to live like the citizens of your kingdom. Help us to overcome our weaknesses with your strength. When we are near, may people know God's kingdom is near. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
