The Book of Luke in a nutshell
Who is Theophilus ?
The Book of Luke is addressed to Theophilus. Researchers say it might commonly refer to people who love God, as it means "Friend of God" or "Loved by God." Some also believe that this refers to Luke’s patron.
Two Divine Visitations, two women, two babies, two songs:
A beautiful, supernatural, yet highly planned series of events took place in the Book of Luke: the birth of John the Baptist and the birth of Jesus Christ.
Zechariah had a visitation from the angel Gabriel while he was in the temple. He received the joyful news—the birth of his son, John, in his old age. The Bible says this baby was very special, that he would be filled with the Holy Spirit and bring joy to many. He would turn many toward God.
Dear young women or older women who are waiting for a child, keep these things in your heart and pray that God remembers you with a child of great purpose, one who will accomplish great things for the Kingdom of God.
It was so beautiful to see that when baby John leaped in his mother’s womb, she was filled with the Holy Spirit and uttered praises and prophecies. What a privilege it must have been to carry a baby like John! Elizabeth was indeed precious and blessed. She was promoted from a barren woman to the mother of a son greater than anyone who had ever been born of a woman. "Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist." — Matthew 11:11

What a glorious God we serve. Hallelujah!
Thank You for giving us the story of Mary, Elizabeth, John, Jesus, and Zechariah. We, who are waiting for a child, praise You, for all things are possible with You. Thank You for changing our identity from a humble state to a blessed state.
In Jesus' name, we thank You.
Amen.
Our God is a God who speaks. He speaks to us in various ways—through His words, through His people, and through situations.
When God revealed many things about Jesus to Mary, as a mother, this godly woman took all the words to heart and pondered over them. "But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart." — Luke 2:19. She did not spread them to anyone but kept them in her heart, and she definitely saw the fulfillment of God's words about Jesus. "But his mother kept all these things in her heart." — Luke 2:51.
Now, we should learn how to keep God's word for us in our hearts. We can't share every vision or promise He gives us with everyone. Ponder over it and keep it in your heart until you see its fulfillment.
May God bless us with such wisdom.

Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.. Luke 1.

The empty net was the result for Peter after he worked tirelessly throughout the night to catch fish. But when he returned to the shore, Jesus saw him and asked for help to use his boat as a stage for His preaching. The tired Simon gave Jesus a place in his boat.Hey friend, in our moments of defeat and emptiness, may we invite Jesus into our boat. And just as He did for Simon, He will fill the empty net with plenty of food.
